More Charges in ''Bonusgate'' Expected, but Not Soon
Urging Philadelphians to "prepare for the worst," Mayor Nutter has announced layoffs and massive cutbacks in city services to close a budget deficit that could top $1 billion in five years.
The changes include the layoff of more than 200 city workers, reductions in the number of fire engines and ladders, the closure of libraries and pools and a freeze on scheduled tax cuts.
